Intuitively, I have started to use some of the building blocks you’ve given us in your courses – deconstruct songs so that I can rearrange them in ways that I can play them alone or translate the timing and feel from what I’m hearing to what I’m telling my guitar to play (it doesn’t always listen very well).

What I’ve come to realise, a year or so into my guitar journey, is that even though it may initially seem more fun to learn songs, in the long run it is more fun to learn how to play songs well – and not just the ones I’ve learned but many of the ones I pick up from tabs or simply listening to the music (since the tabs are often wrong). In fact, I took private lessons for a time and my instructor made a point that, unlike other instructors, his students learned SONGS because that was more fun. I’m not that professional anymore, just need to start to rebuild my recording set-up. Even though this wasn’t some new tricks, I enjoy your videos. I’m sure you remeber before when you where single all the women would not give out there candy. I have all the vocal arrangements in my head, with 2 women during the chorus, singing ‘She a candy rapper. It’s a slow Blues, about 80 beats per second, called Candy wapper! About those girls that tease you and you spend your money buying them drinks and at the end of the Night, you just end up with the wrapper. I find writting comes from the Heart and the music comes from your soul. Just need to arrange the way the song goes with the instrumental. I have about 8 songs, just lyrics and since I started to really focus on Blues I have already got one insrumental down. I have done alot of Arragments, vocal and insrumental. I have written so many songs in that time frame, some I don’t remeber. I’ve been playing professionally from the age of 14. I really did’nt watch the video all the way through.
